Extremely advanced physical and chemical processes allow us to apply incredibly thin layers of fluoride and metal oxides to glass lenses (millionths of millimetres in thickness).
Glass is the only substrate that gives perfect adhesion of oxide to glass for a coating that is durable for the life of the product. This is because only glass can withstand the high temperatures (350°- 400°C) and high vacuum required for superior adhesion without deformation or damage. Our technology allows us to apply up to 16 thin film layers to our lenses. Applying various layers of combination coatings, a wide variety of chromic shades even gradient are obtained.
